Multimedia Consultant

About the role

VillageReach is seeking an on‑call Multimedia Consultant to produce a range of sexual and reproductive health communication assets for the CHOICE Project in Malawi. The consultant will work from provided scripts to design, animate, record, edit, and translate content for multiple digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Create digital posters in English, Chichewa and Yao, delivering high‑resolution PNG/JPEG files and editable source files (AI/PSD/Canva).
• Produce short motion‑graphics animations (30‑45 seconds) with English voice‑over and subtitles in Chichewa and Yao, delivering MP4 (1080p) and source files.
• Record IVR audio prompts (10 seconds‑3 minutes) in narrative or dramatised style, providing MP3 files in three languages.
• Develop audio lessons (3‑5 minutes) for health workers, including metadata and optional Yao translation.
• Translate supplied scripts between English, Chichewa and Yao, ensuring context‑appropriate SRHR terminology.
• Confirm task‑order acceptance, quote fixed prices based on unit rates, and meet agreed turnaround times (3‑10 days) with up to two revision rounds.

Required profile

• Proven experience in multimedia production for health or development communication.
• Ability to work remotely on an on‑call basis and manage multiple language versions.
• Strong attention to detail and capacity to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Graphic design using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or Canva.
• Motion‑graphics animation (e.g., After Effects) and video editing.
• Audio recording and editing (e.g., Audacity, Pro Tools).
• Professional voice‑over production.
• Translation between English, Chichewa and Yao.
