Mechanical Supervisor – Industrial Maintenance

About the role

The Mechanical Supervisor leads a team responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. The role ensures operations run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Guide, mentor, and supervise a team of laborers, delegating tasks and ensuring quality workmanship.
• Oversee installation, alignment, maintenance, and repair of complex machinery such as pumps, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and reduce downtime.
• Monitor and enforce strict safety protocols, company standards, and regulatory requirements on all job sites.
• Coordinate projects, manage procurement of parts and materials, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues in hydraulics, automated machinery, and other systems.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate logs, timecards, and maintenance records.

Required profile

• Deep technical knowledge of industrial machinery, blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical alignment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team‑building abilities.
• Extensive experience in industrial maintenance, possibly including a millwright apprenticeship or technical diploma.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Proficiency with power and hand tools, welding, cutting torches, rigging, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
