About the role

The Marketing Coordinator will support Marriott’s brand presence in Malawi by promoting awareness both internally and externally. This full‑time position blends sales techniques with guest service to enhance revenue and loyalty for Marriott properties.

Key responsibilities

• Promote brand image and drive awareness across all channels.
• Use sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
• Identify up‑sell opportunities and sell enhancements to improve the Marriott experience.
• Encourage guests and callers to purchase or schedule preview package tours.
• Explain sales presentation details to potential owners and verify eligibility for tours.
• Provide complimentary gifts such as rewards points or tickets to recognize patronage.
• Answer guest inquiries about property facilities and services.
• Accurately receive, record, and relay messages.
• Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance, and protect confidential information.
• Deliver courteous guest service, using clear professional language.
• Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Comply with quality‑assurance standards and perform physical tasks as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
