Integrated Vector Control Coordinator – Malawi

About the role

Under the supervision of the Chief of Party, the Integrated Vector Control (IVC) Coordinator will lead technical, operational and logistical activities for malaria vector control in Malawi, supporting spatial emanator deployment and other interventions while providing assistance to the National Malaria Control Program.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate co‑design and implementation of vector control activities with national and sub‑national authorities, community leaders and technical partners.
• Plan and manage seasonal field staff, micro‑planning, household registration, product quantification, training of trainers and cascade training for spatial emanators and other interventions.
• Oversee warehousing, supply‑chain, transport and stock records for ITNs, spatial emanators and related commodities.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Government, Abt Global and national environmental, safety and product‑stewardship requirements.
• Work with Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning staff to collect field data, assure data quality, align with HMIS/DHIS2 platforms and prepare regular technical reports.
• Mentor field teams, promote teamwork and safeguard high‑quality performance, and travel frequently to support district‑level operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s) in public health, environmental health, entomology, supply‑chain management, business administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in malaria vector control, ITN distribution, IRS, spatial emanators or similar public‑health campaigns.
• Demonstrated experience working with government stakeholders, community leaders and partner organisations.
• Experience in quantification, logistics, warehousing and inventory control of public‑health commodities.
• Familiarity with environmental compliance, occupational safety and insecticide‑product management.
