Heart of House Specialist

About the role

The Heart of House Specialist supports essential hotel operations by ensuring that all back‑of‑house areas – kitchen, food & beverage, laundry and guest services – remain clean, organized and fully stocked. Working across multiple departments, you will help deliver a seamless guest experience through meticulous cleaning, linen preparation and equipment upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, clean linen and spotless dining ware for guest use.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dish‑washing machines, hand‑wash stations, linen washers and dryers.
• Transport dishware, linens and other items between hotel areas safely and efficiently.
• Follow safety protocols, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and uphold quality standards.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Maintain a professional appearance, uniform and communication style at all times.

Required profile

• No formal education or prior experience required.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical activities for extended periods.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Positive attitude, teamwork orientation and reliable attendance.

Required skills

• Operation of dish‑washing machines and related cleaning equipment.
• Basic linen handling and washing techniques.
• Safe manual handling and lifting practices.
