Content Moderator (Trust & Safety Specialist)

About the role

The Content Moderator (Trust & Safety Specialist) ensures that user‑generated content on our platform complies with policies, legal standards and community expectations. Working remotely, you will review text, images and videos, focusing on high‑priority cases that require human judgment to keep the environment safe and respectful.

Key responsibilities

• Review and act on reported content (text, images, videos) against platform guidelines, maintaining a 95%+ accuracy rate.
• Monitor daily queues, detect emerging abuse patterns and promptly escalate to the Policy team.
• Provide feedback on moderation tool efficiency and suggest workflow improvements.
• Participate in calibration sessions to ensure consistent policy application.
• Investigate removal or suspension decisions and handle reinstatement requests fairly.
• Serve as a designated responder during “red‑alert” incidents such as graphic live streams or coordinated harassment campaigns.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in content moderation, trust & safety or community management for a major tech/social media platform.
• High emotional resilience and proven strategies for coping with disturbing content.
• Deep understanding of regional, cultural and historical nuances that affect content interpretation.
• Ability to maintain quality metrics while processing 80‑100+ pieces per hour.
• Strong attention to detail during repetitive tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with moderation platforms such as Hive, Besedo and Salesforce.
• Experience using Google Workspace for collaboration and reporting.
