Client Engagement Lead – Growth

About the role

BetterGov is seeking a Client Engagement Lead – Growth to drive sustainable expansion across existing and new public‑sector clients. The role sits at the crossroads of client engagement, account growth, opportunity development, proposition shaping and sales enablement.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Directors to strengthen and grow existing client relationships, develop account plans and stakeholder maps.
• Identify and pursue follow‑on work, extensions, cross‑sell and new service lines.
• Build trusted relationships with senior public‑sector stakeholders and maintain regular engagement rhythms.
• Gather client insights to inform future opportunities and propositions.
• Identify target public‑sector organisations, develop warm routes through networks, partners and events.
• Shape early‑stage conversations around client challenges and BetterGov capabilities.
• Qualify opportunities against BetterGov strengths, capacity and strategic priorities.
• Support pursuit planning, proposal shaping and opportunity conversion.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to turn work into clear, repeatable offers and develop client‑facing materials.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build trust with senior public‑sector stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of public‑sector priorities and challenges.
• Experience in account growth, cross‑selling and new business development.
• Ability to translate delivery evidence into credible, value‑focused propositions.
