Account Relationship Manager (Mangochi)

About the role

The Account Relationship Manager will be responsible for driving sales, managing customer relationships and ensuring compliance within the Mangochi branch. The role combines business development, portfolio management and risk oversight to achieve profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual target market plan, including customer segmentation, product offerings and revenue goals.
• Achieve deposit, loan, risk‑asset and revenue targets while maintaining a maximum NPL of 3% and portfolio revenue NPL of 1%.
• Manage a portfolio of assigned customers, ensuring proper booking of transactions, regular follow‑up and timely reconciliation with financial control.
• Build strong relationships, cross‑sell at least five products per customer and maintain a “very satisfied” customer rating.
• Monitor credit files, enforce KYC/AML policies and ensure all credit lines are approved according to policy.
• Maintain accurate performance records, sales trackers and expense reports, and provide feedback to internal teams.
• Handle customer complaints, collect past‑due obligations and represent the bank in community activities.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of sales experience in a financial environment.
• Strong interpersonal, relationship‑building and networking abilities.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to meet sales, profitability and compliance targets.
• Proactive attitude towards identifying new business opportunities.
