Private Sector Engagement and Partnership Manager

About the role

The Private Sector Engagement and Partnerships Manager will accelerate the adoption, sustainability and scaling of CARE’s CARE PACKAGE® for Emergencies (CP4E). The role leads market development, strategic partnerships and commercialization to ensure CP4E delivers impact and financial sustainability across Malawi and the region.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a pipeline of commercialization prospects and coordinate external consultants to finalize CP4E partnership strategy.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new markets, customer segments and channels for scaling CP4E solutions.
• Develop and present partner-specific concept notes, pitch decks and proposals, translating CP4E’s humanitarian purpose into clear value propositions for corporate and philanthropic audiences.
• Manage partnership due diligence, negotiate agreements, and serve as relationship manager to ensure effective implementation, reporting and renewal of partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, international development, economics, public policy or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate partnerships, private‑sector engagement, business development, fundraising or strategic partnerships.
• Proven track record of identifying and securing partnerships that mobilize financial and non‑financial resources.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and external consultants in complex humanitarian contexts.
