Customer Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Consultant to serve as the first point of escalation for client and frontline staff inquiries within our banking operations. The role ensures that service requests, complaints and queries are acknowledged, understood and resolved efficiently, while also supporting sales growth and digital banking adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new sales opportunities by actively searching for contacts and expanding the client base.
• Forge partnerships with Personal and Business Market teams to drive growth and retention.
• Identify migration opportunities and proactively sell relevant products and services.
• Oversee the customer onboarding process and ensure compliance with risk and regulatory controls.
• Implement required procedures when opening accounts to minimise new‑business risk.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by resolving queries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain adherence to compliance, KYC and AML requirements at all times.
• Promote digital banking channels to enhance customer convenience and efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Financial Accounting.
• 2–3 years of customer service experience in banking, insurance or financial services.
• Previous experience in a branch or contact‑centre environment with solid knowledge of bank processes, policies and products.
• Strong familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
• Basic understanding of compliance, Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti‑Money‑Laundering (AML) requirements.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and service standards.
• Good knowledge of digital banking platforms (mobile and internet banking).
