Programme Intern – Youth, Gender & SRHR

About the role

The Programme Intern will support UNFPA Malawi’s 9th Country Programme, focusing on youth, gender and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Working under Programme Analysts, the intern will assist with technical, administrative and logistical tasks to accelerate programme implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for advocacy activities, workshops and community outreach addressing teenage pregnancy, child marriage and gender‑based violence.
• Document good practices, assist research on emerging trends, and help develop inclusive digital content.
• Support visual communications and digital visibility initiatives to amplify UNFPA’s mission.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with thematic teams to ensure effective delivery of results.

Required profile

• Strong interest in youth, gender equality, SRHR and development communication.
• Ability to work under supervision, manage tasks and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to UNFPA values of transparency, ethical conduct and results‑oriented work.
