Program Manager I – Social Services (CRS Malawi)

About the role

The Program Manager I will lead the SCORE Early Childhood Development and Reintegration projects within the CRS Malawi Country Program, ensuring high‑quality implementation and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all project phases—from design to close‑out—ensuring alignment with CRS quality standards and donor requirements.
• Oversee project planning, monitoring, reporting and compliance with MEAL policies.
• Supervise and develop project staff and partner teams, handling performance management and talent development.
• Facilitate partner capacity assessments and provide technical assistance to government and implementing partners.
• Coordinate financial and material resources to ensure efficient use and timely delivery of activities.
• Contribute to project design, proposal development and identification of growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Health, Nutrition, Social Studies or Community Development (Master’s preferred).
• 2‑3 years of project management experience with an international NGO.
• Strong critical‑thinking, problem‑solving and relationship‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
