Merchandiser – FMCG Retail Field Role

About the role

H. Adam Wholesalers, a leading FMCG distributor in Malawi, is seeking a proactive Merchandiser to join its team in Lilongwe. You will work directly in modern trade outlets, ensuring our products are well‑presented, stocked, and promoted to maximise sales.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain product visibility and shelf standards in assigned outlets.
• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Execute promotions and point‑of‑sale (POS) materials effectively.
• Negotiate and maintain shelf space for company products.
• Conduct daily merchandising activities independently.
• Submit daily reports and updates via WhatsApp.
• Build strong relationships with store personnel and customers.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: MSCE.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑driven, organized and able to work independently.
• Comfortable with physically active field work and handling stock.
• Own a smartphone for reporting purposes.
• FMCG or retail experience is an added advantage.
