Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the operational management of all housekeeping functions on board, covering accommodation, pool, public and crew areas. Reporting to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager, the role ensures that standards are consistently met and that guests and crew enjoy a clean, safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day housekeeping operations across accommodation, pool, public and crew zones.
• Support the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager in achieving division objectives.
• Maintain cleaning standards, safety procedures, and proper use of equipment and chemicals.
• Lead, coach, and schedule a team of at least 10 housekeeping staff.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a large 4‑ or 5‑star hotel (500+ rooms), cruise line or similar hospitality setting.
• Proven ability to supervise a team of at least 10 employees.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, PPE and job‑safety analysis.
• Physical capability to lift, push, pull heavy equipment and handle garbage removal.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with hospitality software such as SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia and Kronos.
• Good command of English; additional languages (Spanish, French) are a plus.
