About the role
The Food & Beverage Manager will lead all culinary, restaurant, beverage and room‑service operations at Protea Hotel by Marriott Lilongwe. This full‑time, onsite role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while meeting financial targets and complying with all relevant regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, monitor and control budgets for all Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring cost‑management targets are met.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of kitchens, restaurants, bars and room service, stepping in to perform duties when needed.
- Lead, coach and evaluate a diverse team, fostering a culture of motivation, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Handle guest concerns promptly, ensuring service standards align with the brand’s culture.
- Maintain compliance with food safety laws and hospitality regulations.
- Drive employee engagement and productivity through clear expectations and recognition.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of relevant Food & Beverage experience, OR
- A 2‑year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field plus 2 years of experience.
