Adjunct Instructor (In‑person) – Malawi

About the role

The Graduate Institute at the School for International Training (SIT) is building a pool of part‑time adjunct instructors to teach on‑site in its global learning locations. This ongoing opportunity is based in Lilongwe, Malawi, and supports a range of master’s and doctoral courses focused on sustainable development, natural resource management, and gender, agriculture, and climate change.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality instruction aligned with course objectives, learning outcomes, and student audience.
• Create an inclusive, experiential learning environment that promotes student success.
• Maintain accurate records, submit grades and reports on schedule, and enforce academic and conduct policies.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in a field relevant to the course topics.
• Professional experience related to the subject matter; graduate teaching experience is desirable.
• Background in inclusive teaching, global education, and experiential learning.

Required skills

• Experience with the Canvas learning management system (preferred).
