Program Manager I – Social Services (SCORE ECD & Reintegration)

About the role

The Program Manager I for Social Services will lead the SCORE Early Childhood Development and Reintegration projects within the CRS Malawi Country Program. Reporting to the Program Manager II / Unit Manager for Health & Nutrition, the role ensures high‑quality implementation and continuous improvement of project impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and implement all project activities across design, start‑up, implementation and close‑out phases.
• Ensure project teams and partners use appropriate systems, tools, and CRS quality standards.
• Supervise staff, provide coaching, develop individual plans, and oversee performance management.
• Promote learning, analyze MEAL data, and address implementation challenges.
• Support project design, proposal development, and gap‑filling as a technical resource.
• Identify partner capacity needs, coordinate technical assistance, and strengthen partnerships.
• Monitor financial and material resources to ensure efficient use.

Required profile

• Strong critical‑thinking and creative problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent relationship‑management and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proactive, results‑oriented, and service‑focused attitude.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health, Nutrition, Social Studies, Community Development or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 2–3 years of project‑management experience with an international NGO.
• Experience engaging with partner organisations and managing multi‑stakeholder projects.
