Corporate Senior Legal Advisor

About the role

The Corporate Senior Legal Advisor provides expert legal counsel to the Corporate & Investment Banking unit, supporting complex credit and transactional matters while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of credit lending, facility agreements, and security documentation.
• Provide legal advice on structured finance facilities, corporate transactions, and strategic initiatives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risk on transactions and product documents, escalating significant issues as needed.
• Serve as the senior point of contact for the Legal Division on transactional, contractual, credit, and regulatory matters.
• Coach, mentor, and supervise junior legal team members.
• Manage relationships with external law firms, including fee negotiations and oversight of instructions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law and admission as a legal practitioner.
• 5–7 years of post‑qualification experience in corporate, banking, and finance law.
• Proven track record negotiating complex lending, security, and commercial transaction documentation.
• At least 3 years of leadership or people‑management experience.
• Strong analytical thinking, commercial focus, and high professional integrity.
