Quantitative & Qualitative Data Analyst (Temporary)

About the role

The Quantitative & Qualitative Data Analyst will support research, program evaluation and evidence‑generation activities for Partners In Health / Abwenzi Pa Za Umoyo. Working under the Research Officer and in close collaboration with the Principal Investigator and program teams, the analyst will manage, analyse and present both quantitative and qualitative datasets to inform health‑system decisions and policy development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct statistical analysis of research, programmatic and survey data, including data cleaning, validation, and quality assurance.
• Develop descriptive, inferential and advanced statistical models such as regression and trend analyses.
• Perform thematic analysis of interview, focus‑group and observation data using NVivo, Dedoose or similar tools.
• Integrate quantitative and qualitative findings to produce mixed‑methods research outputs.
• Prepare data visualisations, reports, presentations, manuscripts and policy briefs.
• Support database management and ensure adherence to ethical standards and research protocols.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis within public health or social science research.
• Strong understanding of statistical methods and thematic coding techniques.
• Ability to interpret results and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written communication skills for report and manuscript preparation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with statistical analysis software and techniques.
• Experience using NVivo or Dedoise for qualitative analysis.
• Data visualization and reporting capabilities.
