HIV and TB Clinical Officer

About the role

The HIV and TB Clinical Officer will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered clinical and programmatic support for HIV and TB services across PIH/APZU‑supported health facilities and surrounding communities in Neno District. The role works closely with Ministry of Health teams to ensure effective case finding, treatment, retention, data management and quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the annual HIV and TB work plan in partnership with MOH teams.
• Provide integrated clinical care to HIV and TB patients at health facilities and in the community, including assessments, ward rounds and home‑based follow‑up.
• Support supply chain management by monitoring stock levels, reporting stock‑outs and coordinating transport for facility visits.
• Identify training gaps, conduct mentorship sessions and facilitate on‑site continuing professional development for clinicians and nurses.
• Ensure accurate documentation using ART registers, TB registers and electronic medical records (EMR), and lead monthly data reviews and reporting.

Required profile

• Full‑time commitment of 40 hours per week.
• Willingness to work onsite in Neno District and travel to health facilities as needed.
• Ability to collaborate with Ministry of Health teams and multi‑disciplinary partners.

Required skills

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) for HIV/TB patient management.
• Familiarity with ART and TB registers for data entry and reporting.
